Artist Colony Meditation Series #1

August 10, 2011

I was really surprised when I arrived at the Artist Colony to teach my Meditation class.
The flier that was put out had announced that I was a hypnotherapist.
The group was more interested in hypnosis than meditation.
I was scheduled 1 hour for the class and I sent the whole time answering questions on what it was like to be hypnotized.
It was great fun, most of the questions were on past life regression.
Could I hypnotize the whole group at the same time?
What was it like to have a past life regression?
One of the women kept us entertained with her experiences and as it turns out she was the Transcendental Meditation instructor who was also teaching at the Colony.
This gave me the opportunity to ask some questions too.
It seems she has been practicing TM for a number of years and had decided to teach a class of her own. It is on a volunteer bases and she explained that it was quite simple.
Based on chanting and meditation.
Most of the time it is a group therapy and the members of the colony are pretty open to the whole processes.
I’m looking forward to next week’s class, maybe this time we’ll have some time to do some meditation.
